MILLINERY ROUTES AND CULTURAL HERITAGE WALKS

MILLINERY ROUTES AND CULTURAL HERITAGE WALKS

The “Routes” and “Walks” are available for groups with a minimum of 10 people and can be booked at any time, however we recommend days of good weather because these activities are made by foot.
Come to S. João da Madeira and enjoy a different and special day. Discover  a very unique heritage that includes old factory buildings, Brazilian architecture houses, historic buildings and many others...

DAY OF MILLINER

DAY OF MILLINER

Every year, in June, the Hat Museum organizes a meeting that gathers former and present hatters.
These meetings are singular moments of interaction and relationship for those who have dedicated their entire lives to the production of hats. Many stories, performances, cocktails and good talks fill in this special day.

FELTING WORKSHOPS

FELTING WORKSHOPS

From time to time, the Hat Museum organizes workshops about different felting techniques like wet felting or needle felting.
Designed for different age groups, these workshops allow the work with wool, one of the prime materials used for hat production. Promoting creativity and imagination is our main objective and these workshops can originate surprising objects!
