SCHOOL VISITS

TECHNICAL VISITS | TEACHERS

TECHNICAL VISITS | TEACHERS

The teachers and tutors can book a special preparatory visit to the Hat Museum.
This visit intends to help outline the cultural and pedagogical interest of the teacher and adapt the visit contents to those same interests. The Hat Museum  also offers a pedagogical dossier for preparation of the visit and posterior exploration of its contents and pedagogical actions with students. Preparatory visits are free for the teachers and should be booked in advance.

SCHOOL VISITS | RISK ASSESSMENT

SCHOOL VISITS | RISK ASSESSMENT

The Hat Museum can’t assume the responsibility of taking care of your group. When planning visits, groups are advised to ensure that a responsible person (1 for each 20 students) assures a suitable risk assessment to their group’s particular needs.

SCHOOL PROGRAMS

The Educational Service receives groups of students and teachers whose monitoring is always held by specialized monitors that develop the visit according to their ages and educational background levels.
In order to ensure the expected success of the guided tour there has to exist a close cooperation between the Educational Service staff and the accompanying teachers. That’s another reason why teachers should make the preparatory visit to the Hat Museum.

Depending on the publics and their educational and pedagogical interests, we offer one of the following activities:
1. Visits – consists on a guided tour to the long term and/or temporary exhibitions. This visit can also be thematic (duration: 50 minutes)

2. Visit + workshop – consists on a guided tour to the long term and/or temporary exhibitions followed by a previously chosen creative workshop (duration: 90 minutes)

3. Workshop - consists on the execution of a previously chosen creative and/or pedagogical workshop (duration: 40 minutes)

In order to meet the great diversity of needs and expectations of our visitors we have designed different educational programs:

Programs for school groups aimed for:
- Pre-primary education, 1st, 2nd, 3rd basic education cycles, Secondary education and Higher education
- Educators, teachers and trainers

PROGRAMS FOR SENIORS

HATS IN THE STREET

The project "Hats in the street" is aimed for seniors with reduced mobility and that have great difficulty to visit the museum. Thus the museum goes to the institutions where they live and organizes a set of fun activities. The sessions have a duration of approximately one hour and it's possible to schedule more than one session for each institution. On the other hand, the institution should provide a guided tour to the museum's exhibitions for all the users with unrestricted mobility. This project intends to create the right conditions so that more people can enjoy the Hat Museum, taking to their homes the stories and treasures of the museum.

I AM STILL FROM THOSE TIMES…

Because there are still many stories to hear and tell, the Hat Museum developed a program specially aimed for seniors. We organize several recreational and educational activities for senior citizens, to train their minds and promote cultural entertainment and social interaction. This project, developed by professionals with experience in Senior Animation, provides our visitors relaxed and playful moments, developing visits to the exhibitions in a very simple manner. These visits can also be complemented with activities and workshops that help to stimulate creativity.

Activities available:

- visit to the Long Term Exhibitions (with or without workshop);

- visit to the Temporary Exhibition (with or without workshop);

- visit to Social Uses Exhibitions (with or without workshop).
