HATS MADE IN S. JOÃO DA MADEIRA

5th August to 22nd January 2020

Throughout the 20th century, many were the hat factories that settled in S. João da Madeira, producing, for every corner of the world, hundreds of felt and straw hats that took away the name of S. João da Madeira.

Joanino, EICHAP, Elmo, Guerreiros, Viarco, Globo, Águia, Dallas are some of the brands that have covered thousands of heads of men, women and children, not only Portuguese but also foreign.

Dedicated entirely to the hats produced in S. João da Madeira, this exhibition features some of the most emblematic models created by the laborious and talented hands of Sanjoanenses workers.
