To complement the experience of the visits to the exhibitions, the Museum has a set of workshops that are available throughout the year.
In parallel, on festive periods (Carnival, Easter, Christmas, Father's Day, Mother's Day, Children's Day, etc.) or for exploring the temporary exhibition contents, the museum has many other workshops available to our visitors.
To get to know our offers, please visit our calendar or subscribe our digital newsletter.

THIS IS MY DRAWING

THIS IS MY DRAWING

Sheep, rabbits and beavers ... their fur is used to make beautiful hats.
In this pedagogical workshop, the children are invited to recreate the fur of one of these animals using different creative techniques and a wide variety of recyclable materials.

FLUFFY ANIMALS

FLUFFY ANIMALS

Did you know that with rabbit’s fur and sheep’s wool we can create felt hats?
From the contents of the long term exhibition and the reuse of textile materials, the  visitors are challenged to give wings to their imagination and create fluffy animals.

COLOURS THAT I WILL CREATE

COLOURS THAT I WILL CREATE

Blue, yellow, green and red are colours that we all know. But how can we produce these colours?
Using the colour catalogues from the dyeing laboratory of Empresa Industrial de Chapelaria, the visitor will discover the wonderful chromatic circle that will allow him to create his own colour catalogue.

HATS WITH PERSONALITY

HATS WITH PERSONALITY

Who doesn't know the Cook’s hat? And of the Fireman? And what about the hat of the Policeman, the Witch, the Princess or even the sleeper hat? There so many hats that can take us to a dream and fantasy world.
In this activity, each visitor has to choose one hat and embody its personality. Then the group will participate in a funny game... or drama?

THE GEOMETRY OF THE MACHINES

THE GEOMETRY OF THE MACHINES

With rectangles, triangles, diamonds and many other geometric shapes, we can build  curious machines.
In this workshop, the visitors are challenged to (de)construct mentally a machine into several small pieces. Afterwards, they will be asked to combine different shapes and colours in order to (re)build that same machine… or maybe not!

DESIGN YOUR OWN STORY

DESIGN YOUR OWN STORY

Do you have imagination and have special skills for drawing? Then this is your chance...
In this workshop visitors are invited to create and develop a fantastic adventure for a fun character that lives surrounded by machines and rabbits… who never, but ever, abandons his own hat.

COLOUR IMPRESSIONS

COLOUR IMPRESSIONS

Exploring some advertising documents and printing tools from the hat factories, visitors are challenged to use their creative skills and different techniques to create their very own advertising campaign.

3D POSTCARDS

3D POSTCARDS

From the contents of the exhibitions  of the museum, visitors will be challenged to build and decorate 3D postcards that later on can be sent by post office to friends or family.

HATS OF THE XXII CENTURY

HATS OF THE XXII CENTURY

What will we be in a hundred years? What will change in a world that is constantly evolving? And what about our hats? How will it look like? What shape they will have? With what materials will they be produced? Which colours and patterns will they have?
These are just some of the questions we have for our visitors that will be challenged  to idealize, critically and creatively, the future of the hat.
