The Hat Museum received the Clean & Safe - Cultural Heritage seal

The "Clean & Safe - Cultural Heritage" seal, awarded to the Hat Museum, is an initiative that recognizes cultural and touristic entities that comply with the safety requirements issued by the General Directorate of Health for prevention of contamination by COVID-19.

The Hat Museum now integrates a list of diverse museums, palaces and national monuments that are part of this campaign, held by Turismo de Portugal, and that intends to promote the reactivation of cultural and touristic sectors in national and international markets, reinforcing the confidence of visitors in this country’s cultural and tourist resources.
For all the entities that take part in the Portuguese Museum Network, as the Hat Museum does, the awarding of the “Clean & Safe - Cultural Heritage” brand, is a guarantee that we are complying with all safety requirements issued by Health Authorities and that are, simultaneously, foreseen in the Museum’s contingency plan, a document drafted in conjunction with municipal authorities.

The Hat Museum which is, for now, just open to the public between Friday and Sunday, from 10 am to 12.30 pm and from 2 pm to 5.30 pm, sees recognized its efforts in guaranteeing the best conditions for cleansing, sanitation and security for all its visitors and employees.
Within these requirements, we stand out the mandatory use of masks and disinfection of hands at the entrance and exit of the museum building, the implementation of distance barriers at the reception, the reinforcement of social distance and determination of a maximum capacity for each one of its exhibition rooms.
And for the best development of our educational activities, these measures require, for instance, activities for groups with a maximum of 5 people, the mandatory scheduling for the participation in those activities and, for the workshops, the creation and distribution of individual kits.
